Celebrating the Holidays with the Oasis Spanish Seniors Group

The joy of Christmas fills our hearts and unites us as a community. After almost three years of celebrating from a distance, on December 15, 2022, the Oasis Dufferin Community Center, in partnership with CultureLink, brought together their group of Spanish Seniors to celebrate this important date in which we affectionately remember our traditions in a family atmosphere.

To begin, Dora Leon, representative of CultureLink, and Diana Garnica, representative of Oasis, welcomed and thanked the people who joined us in the meeting and recognized each one who is part of our programs. Furthermore, making a heartfelt tribute to the people who have died. In addition, we highlight the immense affection for the people who work hand in hand with our organizations.

After this emotional meeting, the day passes between laughter and celebrations. We enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner, the harmony of the senior group choir with their Christmas carol, Cecilia Molina's reflections and her monologue "Retablo de un Angel Dormilon" and special prizes raffled during the afternoon.

To close, we counted accompanied by Pablo Terry and Sol de Cuba. A musical group of international stature, with an overflow of energy and talent, they made us sing and dance, remembering our typical December celebrations.
