Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes! All online donations over $20 will receive an immediate tax receipts directly from Canada Helps. Donations sent to Oasis by cheque they get a receipt from us early in the next year.
Can I donate with a cheque?
Yes!

What will my donation be used for?
We will use donations to support our activities, including the food bank, community meals, social and language programs, and counselling services, by purchasing necessary items, supporting staff salaries, and maintaining our equipment and space. We have strict donation guidelines. All money donated will be used to support Oasis activities. If you designate a donation to support a specific initiative or item, it will be used for that purpose if at all possible. Where it is not possible to use the money for the designated purpose, Oasis reserves the right to use it for another activity within Oasis similar to your designated purpose. Monthly donors will receive a regular update on how their donations have been used.
Can I see Oasis's financial reports?
Yes. Donors and the community have access to our audited financial statements. Oasis activities must provide a prompt and detailed reporting of their expenses. Transparency, integrity and accountability are firm values of ours. Our financial records are prepared by an independent chartered accounting firm. Our Board will respond promptly to any complaints of unethical approaches to fundraising or use of donated funds.

Other than monthly and one-time donations, where does your funding come from?
Oasis is a Christian community centre that operates through the support of private individuals, churches, faith based organizations, foundations and government grants. Partners and supporters of Oasis Include Daily Bread Food Bank, Second Harvest, government grants, and the Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec to name a few.
As a Christian organization, do you only help Christians?
No. We are founded and governed by Christians, and welcome people of all faiths, or no faith. We welcome your questions about our religious beliefs and encourage you to reach out to us any time.
