Make a Difference in Our Community
Our programs wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of volunteers who give their time, energy, and talents to serve the community. Many of our volunteers live in the neighborhood and are also participants in our programs, creating a unique cycle of giving and receiving.
There are many ways to get involved, including:
Food Support
Unloading food deliveries (Tuesdays from 9:30 to 12:30) and food bank setup and distribution (Tuesdays from 2:30 to 6:30 and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 1:00).Community Events
Assisting with special events and seasonal programs.Spanish Seniors Club
Supporting activities and engagement.Special Skills
Offering unique skills that benefit the community, from administrative support to teaching workshops.
People volunteer at Oasis for many reasons—to give back, meet new people, gain experience, practice English, or fulfill required volunteer hours. But the greatest reward is the relationships built along the way.

Depending on the role, new volunteers may shadow for a week or two before committing. Training is provided, and most positions do not require a police check.
We are especially looking for volunteer drivers to help pick up donations on Tuesday mornings. If you can assist, please reach out!
