Food Security

Nutritious food is a fundamental human right. Many individuals and families in our community face food insecurity due to financial hardship, unexpected life events, or systemic barriers. Our food security program provides fresh, healthy food in a welcoming and dignified environment, working together to ensure everyone in our community has access to nourishing food.

Feeding Our Neighbours

Our food bank is open to individuals and families living in the Dufferin-Davenport area who are experiencing food insecurity. Whether you’re facing temporary hardship or ongoing challenges, we are here to help. No referral is needed, and everyone is welcome.

Meet Harry

Harry Compton is the Manager of the Food Banks and Operations here at Oasis. Harry says he has had some amazing jobs, and he’s done great things in over positions, but he’s never felt purpose like he does at Oasis. Through Oasis Harry truly believes he’s learned what community is and how we all play a part in shaping what we want it to be.

“Oasis is a place for belonging, for fun, for faith, for understanding, for redemption and for compassion.  It is a place for all of us.”
