Sticking Together Breast Cancer Awareness Gala

Elizabeth Correia and her team delivered two SUV’s worth of food to Oasis Dufferin after the event.

On March 11, 2023 Roxanne Wright was honoured to attend Sticking Together Breast Cancer Awareness Gala for the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of Oasis. Organized by Linda Correia, the evening featured over 1,000 women who gathered together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer awareness.

A fabulous meal was just the first course for an evening of music and dancing, opened by remark from the organizers and MP Julie Dzerowicz. Roxanne was invited to share a few words as well, and she spoke about the work Oasis is doing to meet unprecedented need in the community.

Each invitee was requested to bring a non-perishable food item for Oasis to the event, and we were thrilled to receive two SUV’s worth of donations for our food bank.

In addition to the food bank, the event raised over $63,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society — a resounding success!
