A Spectacular Spanish Seniors’ Showcase
On Saturday, March 16th, the Oasis team, along with invited agencies,came together to experience an exceptional afternoon filled with poetry, dance, music, and a captivating photographic exhibition in honor of the New Horizons Seniors 2023-2024 project. This event, crafted as a space for delight and reflection on self-care in the elderly, was made possible thanks to the vibrant community of senior citizens at Oasis Dufferin.
The gathering took place at New Horizons Tower, where we were able to marvel at the display of talent and the profound love for life showcased by our seniors. We extend our sincerest gratitude to all volunteers, artists, special guests, and associated agencies who contributed to making this event a true showcase of inspiration and connection.
Among our special guests, we were honored to have the presence of Mennonites, Culturelink, Toronto Family Services, West Toronto Diabetes, and Collective 65. Additionally, we extend a special thank you to Julie Dzerowicz for her support and participation on this significant day.
This gathering was more than just a celebration; it was a testimony to the importance of valuing and honoring the experience and wisdom of our seniors. Together, we created a space where art, culture, and mutual care intertwined beautifully. Thank you all for being part of this unforgettable experience!

El pasado sábado 16 de marzo, el equipo de Oasis junto con agencias invitadas se reunioeron para vivir una tarde excepcional llena de poesía, danza, música y una fascinante exposición fotográfica en honor al proyecto New Horizons Seniors 2022-2023. Este evento, diseñado como un espacio de deleite y reflexión sobre el autocuidado en la tercera edad, fue posible gracias a la vibrante comunidad de adultos mayores de Oasis Dufferin.
La reunión tuvo lugar en la torre de New Horizons, donde pudimos maravillarnos con la exhibición de talento y el profundo amor de nuestros mayores por la vida. Queremos extender nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos los voluntarios, artistas, invitados especiales y a las agencias asociadas que contribuyeron para hacer de este evento un verdadero escaparate de inspiración y conexión.
Entre nuestros invitados especiales, contamos con la grata presencia de Menonitas, Culturelink, Toronto Family Services, West Toronto Diabetes y Collective 65. Además, agradecemos especialmente a Julie Dzerowicz por su apoyo y participación en este día tan significativo.
Este encuentro fue más que una simple celebración, fue un testimonio de la importancia de valorar y honrar la experiencia y sabiduría de nuestros mayores.
